PhD, Bioinformatics and Integrative Genomics (BIG)
Vinay
Vinay earned his bachelor’s degrees in bioengineering and in molecular and cell biology at UC Berkeley, where he conducted research in tissue engineering and synthetic and systems biology. He obtained his master’s degree in immunology at Harvard Medical School, completing his thesis under the supervision of Shiv Pillai, MD, PhD. For his thesis research, Vinay utilized computational techniques to dissect epigenetic mechanisms driving immature B-cell differentiation, and he has extended such methods to answer broader questions about B- and T-cell subset formation.
